This is a Craftsman 4 3/8″ Jointer-Planer manufactured by the King Seeley Corp. for the Craftsman brand. The blade guard and fence lock handle are not original.
It dates from approximately 1954-1956. This was the smaller of the two jointers manufactured for Craftsman. It featured precision-ground cast iron tables and lubricated for life ball bearings. The solid cutter head has three 4 3/8″ high-speed steel knives.
